I agree completely, what they said/did is no way to do business. The fact 
remains, though,
you still need the trim pieces. You might try asking them to reimburse you 
for the parts; if they say no, contact their local Better Business Bureau. 
Bad advertising has a way of getting spread around really fast, and this is 
something they probably don't want or need. My .02
