--Zinc additives are worthless. Zinc needs to be blended in during the refinement process in order to be effective. Don’t believe the marketing hype.

tick tick i wouldn't worry.
Tack Tack or TACK!! TACK!! id pull it.
Pull the intake and pan and check it out or valve cover and look for rocker and plunger looseness and carnage.
I had a comp cams lifter get its bottom completely worn away to the inner oil chamber on a 383 i had a few years back, and it rounded but didnt flatten its cam lobe, even with proper break in. Made a bit of thonk! thonk! near the end but it was a tick tick beginning...
Comp blamed improper break in despite high zinc oil, THEIR additive for break in, 23 mins at 2300 etc etc...forums were blaming bad metallurgy on lifters.
Good luck and use zinc additive to help with any future wear if you run it.

Subject: {Chrysler 300} Clacking lifter
Hello C. Group
After 2600 miles on rebuilt 413,
# 7
Cylinder has a clacking lifter , then after
Warm up, it continues to tack -tack.
Should I be concerned to pull valve cover and replace it?
Hopefully it won't come apart during the Ashville run.
Engine is lubricated with Amsoil 10/30.
25 PSI on hot idle.
Pull it or drive it.
Your floor.
Thanks
Dave D.
