I found mine in a wrecking yard completely sun faded white

I sanded it down until the white was gone & sprayed it with a semi-gloss clear

You can see the results in the attached pictures

Hi Group,

Has anyone re-conditioned the surface of the fiberglass (?) cover on the firewall covering the heater core. I am replacing the broken one in my 62 with a used replacement but seems quite faded. Any thoughts on sprucing it up?
