Charlie, I just gave mine a light scrubdown w/an SOS pad and it looks really good again.

I would advise you NOT to paint it though, 

IMHO, that really looks crappy and “back yardish”

Hi Group,

Has anyone re-conditioned the surface of the fiberglass (?) cover on the firewall covering the heater core. I am replacing the broken one in my 62 with a used replacement but seems quite faded. Any thoughts on sprucing it up?
