Duplicolor offers and engine enamel paint with 'ceramic resins' which resist temps of up to 500 degrees. It is intended to match the engine block colors and hold up better and to treat of the block against contaminants.?! But not the 1200 to 1400 temps of the exhaust manifold.
There are ceramic paints which will hold up to the shuttle reentry heat but they are in varying degrees of ceramic content. The higher the temp the more the ceramic. And they get correspondently heaver and harder to paint as the amount of ceramics increases.....
I would not trust a paint claim that its spray can can be used for exhaust. It of course COULD, but would be ruined the first highway trip you drove. But you could drive it on and off a trailer without much deterioration of the manifold paint....
If you find the paint you used I am certain we would all like to hear about it and check it out. Look up the last club e-news submittal there is an instructional film regarding exhaust manifold painting-how to.

Mark,
I think it's Duplicolor who offers a rattle can of 2000 degree ceramic
paint . It comes in a few different shades and I've found it works
extremely well. I can check the brand for sure in a couple of hours if
you need it.
