John called her "Refin." I remember how quickly he tossed me the keys to drive Refin around during the Lehigh Valley meet in 2004.

Yeah - I do remember that it was actually his favorite car because he
didn't have to worry about getting it scratched or dinged, and he would let
virtually anybody drive it, including a couple of young guys who just stopped
by to admire it one day while it was parked on the street. They remarked
how cool it was and he asked if they wanted to take it for a drive around
the block (with him in it). They were thrilled. Yanno, I really miss that
guy.

Yes, John Hertog did have that red convert. It was a G and he re-installed
the fins. He loaned me the car to use at my wedding, while I loaned my
in-laws my F...The story I heard was that a dentist(if I recall correctly)
owned that G before him and had the fins removed instead of buying a new car-
so he restyled it, so to speak...That G was pretty much factory otherwise,
except for an extra set of carpet protectors installed behind the front
seats...I believe he(John H.) said that the drive train was never out of the
car and always fired up...
