There is available at some Auto Parts stores a
kit that mixes like epoxy to seal gas tank leaks.
It can be applied dry or over the leaking hole. I
have used it, but the last time I tried to find
some, they were out. Fixed a bottom tank leak on
a 72 Town & Country years ago, and it lasted
longer than the car. Looks like grey chewing gum
when ready to use. Good luck finding it .
