[Chrysler300] Attaching Stuff To Body Paint

Hi All,
What is the BEST way to attach things like Chrysler script directly to car
body paint so it hopefully can be gotten off later on without hurting the
paint?
Trying to neatly exacto double sided tape is just too hard and iffy to do
and the medallion glue you can buy is just that - a glue and wil probably be
really rough to get off in future without hurting the paint or the script.
Incidentally this glue smells just like the old 1950's Testors airplane
glue. Is this what it is?
Any advice will be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
See you in Maine!
Allan and Gloria
