Johan, that piece is called the "License Plate Escutcheon", officially,
and it should not be too tough to find (try contacting all of
the national-big salvage yards, (and Big M, in CA, too), but since
it is chromed pot metal, you'll almost certainly need to get it re-chromed,
after you do buy it.

Probably about 100-150 to buy and the same amount, to re-chrome it.
