[FWDLK] MOTOR HEAD IGNITION SYSTEM QUESTION

Hello All
JIM R--feel free to chime in....................

Concerning the ballast resistor on our cars,,,,,,,,,,,
The service manual states about .7 ohm
Most old mopar units that I measured are about  1 ohm

What would be the harm,,if any,,in using a .2 ohm or a 2 ohm resister
Would the points OR coil OR operation really be effected in going that 
much higher or lower in resistance??

For what its worth , CHEBBIES starting circuit had NO resister and would 
run on a 2 ohm unit.
