For the record, The Barrett Jackson Car and the car Mopar
Mel sold to Bill Allen are not the same car. For that matter a second incorrect
D500-1 was at Barrett Jackson last year as well. The Bill Allen car was at the
Tulsarama invitational car show, and it is as correct as I have seen for a
"clone" of a D500-1. The Allen car uses mostly original parts but has
a few repro parts and is represented as such with honesty, it was
originally a D500 Coronet and retains its original D500 Block. Bill Allen spent
the time to convert the chassis to the D500-1 specs, which requires mostly 56
Imperial pieces. Thanks Tim in Golden
