[FWDLK] What color should firewall, inner fenders, and radiator support be?

My '59 dodge was repainted numerous times, and the engine compartment 
cheapy detailed at some point.  the firewall, inner fenders, and 
radiator support are satin black.  all nee to be redone as it is now 
rusty/greasy/scratchy.

Whould these items be black or the same color as the car ?  My friend 
who knws '60 and up thinks it should be the same as the car.  he has a 
'59 Chrysler parts car that is all original, and thru the rust you can 
see that those items were the car color, not black.  Same for Dodge ?
