Is that any New Yorker and Dodge wagons only? Not easy to come by in and of
themselves, but if any NY'er will work I could get some cores probably. I
say probably because it's the same place as my '60 and who knows what shape
the stuff will be in.

MessageIt's a whole different system, 3" wide x 11" diameter. Detailed
article in the 7/03 WPC News by... well I'll be... one of our FL members,
Neil Vedder. Donors can be obtained from 1963-64 New Yorker or Dodge
wagons, or 1965-73 if you include the lower control arms.

Rodger,
Excuse my ignorance on this but is the newer Bendix duo-servo drum brakes
just a different material on the shoe or is this a different system? My 56
Dodge is running the stock drum brakes and stops just fine for a 40+ year
old car but if a different material on the shoes would help, I am all over
it.

There was an article not too long ago in WPC news about replacing center
plane brakes with newer Bendix duo-servo drum brakes. I can tell you from
my '66 Plymouth, they'll stop you on a dime.
