I can decode paint and upholstery. I have a dealer sample book with body
color and upholstery selection samples and their respective codes. For
example, color code 77 is Rhapsody Blue body with Platinum roof; interior
code 28 was Dark Blue Broadcloth bolsters with Medium Blue and Gold Nylon
Boucle.
The book has some deficiencies; the 77 above was shown as only available on
Newport models, not on sedans. Apparently they later offered it on sedans,
as my late production '55 sedan has that paint; odd as it may seem, the
entire electical system on mine is 12 volt as well - every single electrical
component has the part number used for a limo.
Anyway, ask about color or upholstery and I'll respond as time permits.

Doesn't anyone know how to decode the '55 Imperial? I would sure like to
decode our car as well.
