Contortions under the dash (was Re: IML: a limited-slip diff by any othername)

Contortions are not necessary -- the secret is to remove the front seats.
If you have power seats that work, you must raise the front and move to the
rear to loosen the two front bolts, then raise the rear and move to the
front to loosen the two rear bolts. Then unplug the electrical connectors,
remove the rails (4 bolts each on a '66, loosen from under the car) or
cover them with an old mattress or something and you've got enough room to
swing a cat.
