I've used the Belkin one on a number of occasions with both an iPod
and a Discman. (It doesn't matter what you hook it up to, as it's
just a 1/8" stereo minijack for input)
It works FLAWLESSLY when you're out in the middle of nowhere on the
open road, as there's no compressing like with radio stations, so the
quality is great. Once I got into urban areas, I had all sorts of
interference, even though two of the frequencies weren't used. It's
quite clear that they're super succeptible to harmonic cross-talk and
the like from bouncing signals off of things like rebar in
concrete...which is a shame.

If you own an Ipod, get the cassette adaptor for car use. The FM
style are said to be very poor quality & not worth the price.

Get the optional FM transmitter from Apple for the iPod. It broadcasts a
short-distance signal to an FM station of your choice (it defaults to 87.9
but can be reset at your computer) and works great! I enjoyed having an iPod
full o'tunes a recent road trip in my '72 Charger, whose original FM radio
is not nearly as strong as the one in your '93 (it's an old FM stereo tuner
that tends to drift), but it worked great and it's completely wireless!
