Epoxy would be one solution. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the
stuff, but you can buy it at Wal-Mart. It comes in a srynge that has a part
a/b already in there, so that when you squeeze a portion, it comes out in the
proper ratio. All you have to do is just mix it up. Setting time is around 20
minutes, and full cure around 24 hours at 70-80 F. What's nice about the stuff
is that you can sand it (even use it as a filler) and prime over it or dye over
it in your case.
I use the stuff all the time when I put together my resin models.
