Well,
I used a block of wood and my sledge hammer and the y-pipe
popped loose with a couple of medium raps.
I will not be able to get it off until I remove the starter AND there is
still some
tack weld holding it. And it's wedged pretty hard into the converter
pipe. I will try to
grind the rest of those welds off (Grrrrrrr! What a pain.) Any Ideas
on how to break
it loose from the converter pipe once the weld is cleared? (I was
thinking
of a pipe wrench holding the converter pipe still while I yanked and
twisted on the y-pipe.)
