I believe,before we got slightly off track here,was if in fact some of
these rust treatments are just plain Coal Tar. I don't think they are. In
fact,if you use POR-15 from a plastic bucket,the remainder will dry to a
plastic-like consistency....almost like a thick,black,trashbag....then peel
right out leaving the shape of the bucket.
So,for those of you who are contemplating on using a rust treatment such
as POR-15 on your Imperial or NYB,rest assured it is fairly safe. Just don't
get it on your skin.
The only thing that takes it off is t-i-m-e. (usually 2 weeks)

'75 Imp 4dr <--POR-15 coats the inside-bottom of the doors where moisture
gets.
'79 440 powered 35 ft RV <--about 75% of it's already solid frame has been
wirebrushed and painted with POR.
