hi bob,
when a fuel injected 81-83 is converted to carb you
lose the mpg,& fuel range to empty display readouts.
this is because there is no longer the fuel injection
computer to measure all this.(basically- i know theres
more to it than that but i don't think its interesting
enough to go into any more detail!)
you do retain the readout for amount of fuel in the
tank.
one of my 78 nybs had an aftermarket computer added
that did give instant/average mpg. i'd love to know if
something like that could be added to an 81-83 imp so
it would give back the mpg readout.
any body know of such a thing?
