Thanks for the information Mark, this seems to confirm what I thought. 
Once again the content of the OIC was underestimated, only this time by 
loyal little old me. I even wrote a note to myself to dig for that book 
and find the information, while it was only a mouse click away, right 
here.

Chris Hawkins detailed the Spanish-built Imperials a few years ago 
here:

According to sources, Barreiros of Spain turned out 10 of these 
beauties. All were 1965 models fitted with 1966 grilles. None were 
brought to the US by Chrysler. And, indeed, Franco was delivered one of 
these. The dash and gear selectors were give-aways. 
 
The Ghia Limos have an interesting story laid out by Special Interest
