A couple of inches will effect the drive shaft angle, but the 1973
model is built quite differently than the early cars and doesn't seem
to have this problem.
In fact, I think a change in the design of the u-joints around 1965
reduced this issue for the split drive line models, allowing owner's to
beef up the rear suspension without these serious complications.

So I guess Springs n things sells leaf springs? There's nothing on
their web page that would indicate that. I see bushings, shackles,
coils, and all kinds of hardware listed. Do I have to call and request
a quote for my '73 leaf springs? All this talk about H.D. springs makes
me want to try a set. A couple of inches shouldn't hurt my driveshaft
angle, right?

many '73's
