Hi Steve,
   Their are suppliers of clips and universal clips like Gary Goers. I 
found that rust starts under the trim areas and can be a big problem if not 
found and fixed before a paint job. You can easily tell a car that has been 
painted without the trim removed and it looks cheap. If you plan on keeping 
the car, I would suggest you remove as much of the trim as possible. The end 
result would justify the extra work. Just my 2 cents. I was able to find all 
the clips and rubber I needed to redo my entire car (1959 Imperial) from 
Gary Goers. If you reuse old clips, put some POR15 on them to make them 
bullet proof.
