IML: Insturment panel lights 64 Imperial

Imperialist

The gear shift push buttons on my 64 Imperial do not light up when I turn on the lights at night. Is this normal? Is there bulb somewhere burned out? All the dash lights work. I have to feel for the buttons at night to shift gears. Any input will be appreciated.
