These use to be used primarily at auto salvage yards, and maybe still
are. I had one that covered the early '50s through the middle '60s. At
the time, most yards around here were of the "you pull it" type. If the
yard didn't have the same car as you were looking for, they would "look
it up" to see if they could help out anyway. Hollander Interchange
Manual was totally reliable and accurate. It would be fun to look up
some of the stuff that I remember, to see if my memory had held up over
the years. I'd like to know if the '56 Imperial brake drum and front
u-joint information posted earlier is correct. Back in the old days I
use to scour the wrecking yards every weekend looking for parts for my
'56. I became quite familiar with what would and would not fit.

This is for anyone wanting an interchange manual. They have all makes
and Imperials are listed as a seperate car like they are supposed to
be. Joe Machado

I got mine, all three, back in the late 70's. I have no idea of a
web site or the cost. My 53 thru 65 is one edition and the other is a 2
book version, 1964 to 1974. The latter does have some items going back
to 1946. The latter has a seperate body section, but is about 1/2 the
thickness of the other parts that it covers. These are for American
cars only.
