That's it.  Ten digits, all numbers.   The dash location did not start until
1968 and Chrysler did not start using letters until 1964-65.
A 1962 Imperial Crown vehicle number would be : 9223xxxxxx.
A 1962 Imperial LeBaron vehicle number - 8323xxxxxx.
The 'xxxxxx' is the sequential production number which started at 100001.
The modern 17-digit VIN did not appear until 1981.
