Hi !
Well, not ALL overseas members are too busy with the Question of the day...
With regard to the trunk weatherstrip you are looking for, be sure that it
is meant for the Imperial and not for the other Chrysler products..
I ended up with two useless trunk weatherstrips before I found the correct
one. The first one was send by Andy Bernbaum and was a correct 1960 Chrysler
product but NOT for an Imperial.
The second one came from Atlas Obsolete Chrysler Parts, same story..
Finally I found the correct one at Steele Rubber Company, this one has a
total different cross section that is correct for my 1960 Imperial Crown.
Good luck,
Robert

Yes Hi Geoff
Thanks for your reply. I agree. I have noticed that all the different
listings for various model cars for the weather strip are identical, and
the seller agrees.
I had not intended to bid $25 when I could bid $20 for the same thing.
And of coarse he has said it is correct for a 63.
But I was just trying to get an independent opinion whether it is the
write stuff for a 63, or any Chrysler for that matter. With this being my
second posting of this question with out any replies other than yours I'm
a little disappointed with our overseas members who seem too busy with
the, Question of the day. I can't believe that nobody has not worked with
their trunk seals and could shed some light on the subject.
Oh well time to move on.

Hi,Cant answer your 63 query but on ebay parts under 65 Imperials there
is listed from the same seller item 4632923218 for $20 and 4632937791
for $25. Im almost prepared to borrow money and bet they are exactly the
same. Why anyone would pay $25 instead of $20 beats me.Someone has put a
bid on the$20 item so let him have it, they will relist. They most likely
have miles of it. Why not ask them a question and see if it will fit your
car?

Hello again IML-ers
Q:1 Can somebody please confirm whether the rubber trunk seal on e-Bay,
Item number: 4632878163 is correct for a 63 Imperial?? Or similar??
This seller does show a cross section which is helpful but it doesn't
appear to match my existing seal. Although my seal is probably a bit
crushed flat I also think it may have been installed up side down, which
is not helping with the identification.
Q: 2 Looking at the sellers X/Sec, would I be correct in thinking that
as the way up it appears on the screen that the bottom of the X/Sec would
glue to the Car body and that the trunk opening would be on the left of
the X/Sec meaning the weather would approach it from the right??
Any views or replies would be greatly appreciated.
