No, with Chrysler if the part was the same for a Valiant as it was for an
Imperial, it carried the same part number and thus was the same price. It
costs money to carry different part numbers, both for the dealer and the
manufacturer. And Chrysler did not have the money GM and Ford did.
So any time you see part numbers for an Imperial that are different from any
other Chrysler product, it is because the parts are different and not just
because the car is an Imperial.

I know General Motors did the same thing with Cadillac parts. But the smart
mechanics knew that many Pontiac and Oldsmobile parts were interchangeable
with Cadillac and ordered them for a lesser price instead.
Don't know if Chrysler did that with Imperial parts. But it wouldn't
surprise me if they did.
