Mike,
I seen the movie last weekend, and you're right it's not for the faint of
heart. However I did like the flick, and enjoyed seeing the old cars
especially the 57 or 58 Imperial.

Subject: IML: Imperial in "Sin City"
I don't recall seeing it on the IML yet, though that
could just be my 27-yer-old Alzheimer's setting in,
but there is what appears to my semi-trained eye a
1958 Imperial in the latest slash-em-up flick "Sin
City", recently out in theatres. I went to see it
last night, and while I certainly don't recommend it
for the faint of heart (or weak of stomach) there was
a pretty good sized scene about 1/2 way through where
Benicio del Toro is crusing with his "troups" (all 5
of them) in the Imperial. I could barely make out the
grille, so not 100% on the year, but the tailights
definitely place it as a 57/58/59. There's a toilet
seat deck lid (sorry, I mean "Flightsweep") and a
Landau roof. Unfortunately, they refer to it as "The
Chrysler". :( That and a samurai prostiture slashes
a sword through the roof.
Hey, you are forewarned.
