the Bendix system has (should have) a lifetime recall. Get it
replaced ASAP at a dealer with a working Bosch system. I say should
have, because I don't know if there was any warranty voidage with your
work and the damage, but those systems are NOTORIOUS for failure, and
there's no reason to go to a standard brake system with the lifetime
recall, imo. If you do have to get new parts, and want to convert to
standard non-abs brakes, look no further than a Dodge Dynasty in your
local bone-yard...
