Thanks for all of your suggestions and review of the eBay pullers I had 
found.  I'm happy to hear that the New Britain one is the best of the bunch as I 
can probably pick it up in person and save shipping.

Thanks also for the usage pointers (Paul) - they've been posted before but 
safety tips such as those always bear repeating.

I'll post more once I have the tool (and the time to start the project).
