The first one (the New Brittain) is a good tool. The 2nd and 4th one are
unknown brands, probably made in the Orient, and will break the first time
you use them. The third one listed uses a method to remove a drum that I
have not encountered before - I don't think I'd rely on that one.
So, the bottom line is, get the good one and it will work on any car with
the tapered axle shafts, which includes Chrysler products from 65 or so on
back, many Fords, and most independents (Packard 55 and older, Studebaker 62
and older etc.) so you can always resell it when you no longer need it.
The best brand is Snap-On, but they are very expensive, and don't usually
show up on eBay.
Don't, and I repeat, DON'T buy a cheap one - it will break!
Be sure you know how to use this before you do it. If you aren't sure, ask
and we'll take you through it. These can be dangerous to your health and
your car if you don't use it right.

Subject: IML: Hub/Drum Puller
Brake system work is at the top of my list for off season repairs on my '56.
Obviously this will require having a proper hub/drum puller for the rear
wheels and I'd like to buy one rather than borrow or rent so that I have it
for
future work. I've searched eBay and come up with a bunch of current
auctions
which appear to be for the correct tool but wanted to tap into the expert
knowledge on the list.
Here are the item numbers:
2494277310
2493885020
2494258504
2493845656
Any thoughts?
