Thanks for putting these photos up, and thanks also to
those who provided the link to the Carlisle show.
I attended the Walter P. Chrysler Great Lakes Region
show in suburban Detroit last weekend, and I'm sorry
to say it did not do right by the Motor City. There
were *no* Imperials being shown at all, and only 2
Chryslers. It was a pretty sorry turnout as far as
big machinery was concerned. There were lots of
'Cudas, Coronet R/T's and Road Runners (scads of Hemis
and 440s), along with a few Forward Look Plymouths,
but only about 3 pre-WWII vehicles. What was even
sadder was the show was held in solid Chrysler
territory in Macomb County: Warren truck plant, a
stamping plant, and the main Mopar parts distribution
plant. Oh well, maybe next year!
