Definitely not me. I guess I'm younger than I thought...kinda. I would have
thought a 62 would have been long past the years of deficient heaters. Did
alot of different cars have them, or just the top of the lines? The 60
rumbler american I had 25 years ago sure could have used one. Of course, in
ND you carried that stuff in the winter time anyway if you traveled much.

Interesting.... I personally figured it was just one individuals way of
describing a seat belt. Who knew?

A lap rope is a rope, duh!, that was strung across the back of the front
seat, over which to hang a lap robe. A lap robe is essentially a blanket
that back seat passengers draped over their laps and legs in the winter, a
throw-back to when cars' heaters weren't as efficient as they are today.
