IML: '56 Parts Car Disassembly

I spent the better part of Labor Day weekend working on the
disassembly of the parts car I purchased on eBay recently (SN 568314
for those who are keeping track of such things). The engine and
transmission had already been removed. I was able to get the front
grill, bumper, and complete dashboard out along with the tail lights
and a few pieces of exterior trim around the windows. There were a
few things that I started working on but could not remove so I'm
looking for help/suggestions on how to proceed without breaking
anything. Here are the trouble spots:
1. Windshield washer pump - I've loosened the nuts that hold it to
the firewall and removed the wire snap ring that appears to hold the
half-dollar sized button onto the stem but I still can't remove the
button to get the whole assembly out. Since my car is missing the
button, I'd really like to get this out without damage.
2. Steering wheel - Two problems here - first I didn't bring a large
enough socket for the nut at the end of the column (I'm guessing it
is 1") which is easy enough to solve. Second, and the bigger
problem, is that the steering wheel puller I have doesn't have bolts
that will thread into the holes in the wheel. Does anyone know what
the correct thread size and length is?
3. Belt line trim - I've been able to remove a fair number of the
nuts holding the belt line trim onto both the front fenders and the
rear quarter panels but I can't get at what appear to be additional
nuts closer to the center of the car (in front, the rear foot or so
of the fender - in back, the two feet under the rear window). Are
these ends indeed held on with nuts or is there a different fastener
used hear? How do I go about this without breaking or bending the trim?
4. Exterior window trim - I've been able to remove the sun visor and
side trim in front and the top, side, and bottom overtrim in the rear
but the bottom trim front and back is crimped around the window
gasket. The FSM shows the use of some special tools but they don't
show a picture of the tools so I don't even know where to begin.
Anyone out there an auto-glass expert? I'm guessing these aren't
Chrysler/Imperial specific tools, just general glazer's tools.
5. Rocker panel trim - I haven't even started on this yet but recall
from other cars that this trim is usually held on with clips that
require gently prying the trim either from the bottom or the top. Is
this true of Imperials in 56 as well?
Thanks!!
Jeff
