'999' was used for any colour that was not on that year's colour chart.  In
some years Chrysler did use code '9' for a colour, but the code on a car
painted single tone with '9' would be '991'.

A '551' code would be a production colour.  '5' was Charcoal Grey Metallic
in 1967-68.  The '1' at the ends means the paint scheme is montone, rather
redundant when the roof and colour codes are the same. A '2' would mean the
roof was painted a different colour from the body and '3' usually meant the
side spear insert colour (eg. 1962 Polara 500) or saddle trim colour (eg,
1961-62 Lancer) was paint a different colour from the body.

Thus a '551' code means :
5 - Roof Colour - Charcoal Grey Metallic
5 - Body Colour - Charcoal Grey Metallic
1 - Paint Style - Montone
