Steve - do you have any hard science references to support your speculation?
I've often pondered if I will be able to unload my '65s at a decent price when the time comes that I want/need to sell them off. I have speculated exactly what you said (lack of buyers and more interest in modern tuners/muscle.)
Sorry to see you're still unable to sell you Polara

Not always true. I have had my 63 Polara for sale for a while. People tell me that the reason it's not selling is it's North of the border so Americans are afraid of import fees at customs (which are actually VERY negligible) and that the car is too nice to drive for most people (which I can't understand). A HUGE factor is the collector car market is suffering BIG time because the actual amount of COLLECTORS is decreasing due to age and death and the newer generations are just not into classics. My Polara has over $145,000 invested in it. Built as a resto mod to dive
and have fun, which I have done. $55,000 is a more than reasonable price for the car, BUT it has yet to sell. My $0.02.
