Yo Mopar Dudes:
Thought you may like this photo, it is the first time viewed in public in almost 50 years. It is from my Dad's old slide photo collection that I have been digitizing. It was taken at a Kent Washington Pacific Raceways event in May 1963, on the return road near the finish line. I think the drivers were stopping here to get their timing slips.
What you are looking at is brand new car. It is unmarked and my dad has no idea who may have owned it. But it clearly set up as a racing car, note the fenderwell headers, tow bar brackets under the front bumper, tach on the dash, and the whitewall slicks on steel wheels. Also note how the hood hinge brackets have been adjusted. No way to tell which engine it has, but my money is on nothing less than a 426 wedge if not a Max Wedge. But what I find remarkable is that this car is a top of the line Sport Fury trim model, no stripper model here. The car looks to be completely intact.
