A friend ( retired auto body repair) helped me take out my Windshield 
without cutting thre gasket.  He said to lay it flat and support the 
windshild  in several places to keep it from bowing or breaking . I would 
think upright  on bottom edge would be ok, but I never asked 
him..............................MPO
