Make sure the tack is not one of those 4-6-8 rpm selection models. If
it is put the setting to 8cyls. I had a fiend claim he could do
9000rom with his engine until I heard the idle and checked the tack. I
switched his 4-6-8 tach to V8 setting, then dared him to hit 9000.
Never happened.
