Just going over my 64 Windsor
checking everything out as I'll need to get a safety
inspection this week...something wierd going on with the
lights...
Pull Headlight switch half way out, front orange marker
lights and tail lights come on. ok
Pull Headlight switch full on, both headlights come on,
along with tail lights and front marker lights. ok. I'm
assuming the white lights in the rear bumper are reverse
lights only, right? They never come on (even in reverse, not
too worried about that right now..)
With the lights off, when I push the turn signal to turn
right, both front marker lights flash, as well as the right
rear. When I push the turn signal left, only the left rear
light flashes.
With the lights on, with I indicate right I have no right
side turn signals, and when I indicate left, have only the
left rear turn signal.
When I hit the brakes, I only get the right side brake
light, but if I turn the turn signal to indicate right, the
left brake light turns on.
I've replaced a number of bulbs and swapped some from side
to side, doesn't seem to make a difference. All the wiring
appears to be original and intact, no wierd splices or
anything that I could find.
Could this be the indicator switch somehow grounding out
the left side? Kinda wierd that when I turn on the right
signal, both front orange light flash...
Any insight would be appreciated!
