Just depended on what you ordered. We could get with DDs or full hubcaps.

Subject: Dog dish or no dog dish, that is the question
I'm having a nice discussion on another email group about the '64 Furys,
Belvederes, and Savoys coming from the factory with dog dish hub caps. I know
that police cars and government cars had them, so I was thinking it was kind of
an identification thing. I now have seen pictures of some cars with the DD hub
caps. I have a dealer brochure, and it does not show anything but the full wheel
cover. Does anyone have any other information that would clear this up. I don't
want to tell anyone that they don't have factory hubcaps, I am just curious of
how this works. Was it factory installed, was it dealer installed, or was it an
after market owner installed.
Another thing, It seems that not all the DD caps were the same. I saw a police
car with a plain cap with about a four inch circle on it. Then some looked like
the caps from a 70 Duster. So if it is factory, which one is right?
Thanks,
Dooner
