De-Anodizing Aluminum Trim

I tried this over the weekend on a small piece of trim using the "Blue Lightning" product.
It took several coats but the anodizing finally lifted off. I used aluminum cleaner to shine it up but the trim doesn't look very reflective.
Any input as to what would take to make this aluminum look more chrome-like?
Thanks,Doug
