I have seen them removed before, but you could always tell that they had
been there because of all the years they had protected the bumper chrome
beneath them, and left their imprint on the bumper

I have a set of bumperettes for my 64 Belvedere.
They appear to bolt onto the existing bumper bolts.
I've not installed them yet though but I think you'll be OK if you remove
yours.

Dave,
Make sure bolt hole on each end of rear bumper are lined up with center of
Fury tail lights. IF the bolt hole is lined up closer to outer edge of
tail
lights it is a 63 or 65 rear bumper NOT a 64.

I'm looking at possibly buying a pair of bumpers from a '64 Fury that have
the
bumper bars on them. I don't want the bars for my Belvedere. If I remove
them,
are there going to be holes that don't belong for my Belvedere? Or are
they
holes I already have in my existing bumbers that just have bolts in them?
