Rear Seal Installation Question

I have a new seal,
Fel-Pro BS 40240
http://www.jegs.com/i/Fel-Pro/375/BS40240/10002/-1#
This seal kit is completely different than any of the other seals I have
installed. It does not have the side gibs, per the instructions the gap
is filled with sealant.
It would be appreciated if someone would follow the link above and
comment on this seal. The kit may just be a universal kit but it has
parts that do not appear to have a function in a 383.
Thanks
Dennis C.
