My $.02... I think of the Bumper Boyz as the K-Mart of Chrome - they're
cheap and quick, but the chrome is thin and soft. Like everything else in
life, you get what you pay for. I bought a pair last year for my
Barracuda
just to make her look better until I can afford to send the originals to
Tri-City.

I had an excellent experience last year with Tri-City. They're at
Carlisle every year. I sent them a none-too-pretty Coronet bumper and
it came back straight and gorgeous. Shipped both ways no problem and
they were reasonable. Turnaround was about 6 weeks as I recall.

Regarding rechroming, we have a shop here in San Diego County that I
have
used; triple chrome plate or nickle/chrome plate, your choice.
Let me know if I can help.

I was at a car show a few weeks ago where a guy sent his bumpers for
his
Buick out to a place in California. They take your old ones, and send
you
a
newly chromed set then take yours and refinish them for the next guy.
He
said the cost was about $250 per plus shipping, and got the new ones in
1-2
weeks. I will go and find him again and get the information and post it
here. He should be there again on Wednesday night.
