while I have not yet found any order form I do have the Chrysler bulletin
May 12 1964 that states under warranty and policy coverage that any
prospective customer that is purchasing a car with the hemi engine that the
car is sold as is and there is no warranty on the car or drive train. I
would say that probably from late April on you could have ordered one but
the production year ended in June and as far as I know none were sold to the
general public only the race guys Dave O

Subject: 426 Hemi question
I have always wondered, what year was th first one that you could check a
box on a new car order form at the dealer and get the new 426 Hemi in a
Dodge? Was it 1965 or 1966?
