THEORETICALLY that's true, but I have a friend of mine with a 69 Dart,
383, 727, 4.10's, street slicks, running 11.85's using a 741 case
without any issues. The car is on the street and he uses the gas pedal
like an on-off switch.
He has has a 69 Satellite, healthy 440, 4spd he drives the same way
with a 741 case in it...no problems there either.
I would get a larger pinion case if you can find one easily, but don't
think your 741 is going to grenade the first time you hit the gas.

Jimmie, if the '65 Belevdere rearend you plan to upgrade is from the
so-to-be-440 powered wagon you list in your sig, a 741 case is not a good
choice to invest in. The pinion stem was not designed to support the
torque
even a mild 440 will produce, especially in a 3900lb vehicle.
Furthermore, unless you have some good used gears or NOS gearsets, 741
ring
and pinions are unavilable and have zero aftermarket support. There is a
reason for this.
The Chrysler 8 3/4 guide penned by a person nicknamed Vaanth is essential
reading - Google it. It explains clearly the different cases and their
strengths and weaknesses. If you want to go for a sure-grip - which is a
great idea - I'd look for a 742 (my choice) or a later 489 case (biggest
pinion stem). Either of these will be more than adequate unless your 440
is
a really wild one.
