I'm just a bit northwest of Houston, and we got some rain and wind but never
lost power or anything. So far as I've heard, all of my family and friends
in the Houston area are fine and in various stages of getting their power
back. Gary lives in one of the harder hit parts of town, so he might be
awhile getting back to us.

I'm hoping that our Texas members and any others have done OK during
Hurricane Ike. Could be that they don't have power yet too. I'll be glad to
hear some replies from them so we know if everyone is OK.
