Depends on your state. for instance, VA antique tags allow pleasure driving 
within a 250 mile radius of your address. I underdstand they may do away 
with the mileage limit this year to allow unlimited use.

Which would make it a problem if one wanted to drive their antique to say 
the Mopar Nationals (325 miles from my house in VA to the track).
